Ashling, Inc. worked for six months prior to project start to maintain the design integrity without exceeding the budget mandate set by the Himmel Restaurant Group. The result is a 14,000 square feet, 360 seat, "urban tavern" that offers fireplaces, cozy booths and an open kitchen that creates American classics.
"Working with the Ashling Team is always a professional and courteous collaboration."
- Peter Niemitz, Niemitz Design
"We wanted to pull the elements that are indicative of what a neighborhood tavern is — heavy timber stones, steel, brick, rich colors, lots of texture, fireplaces. The whole palette is very muted, and it's all very textural and purposeful."
Peter Niemitz in The Boston Globe, January 14, 2010
