Earl of Sandwich

Boston Common, MA
Ashling is proud to have participated in the restoration of this historic building in the Boston Common. The 1920s men's convenience station, that has been vacant since the 1970s, was transformed by renovation work on both the interior and exterior of the building. This was done while adhering to standards of The Boston Parks & Recreational Department and Boston Landmarks Commission.
Ashling Incorporated
Ashling awarded the 2013 Preservation Achievement Award
"The transformation of this building from a decrepit, old restroom to a feature of the Common is nothing short of remarkable. This is a real example of turning a lemon into lemonade and has brought new energy and destination to the Common"
Greg Galer, Executive Director, Boston Preservation Alliance
